August 2005 I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to serve as the head librarian at Grace International School. I am supported by friends and family through Wycliffe International. My goal is to expand my church family's world view; to share God's Word with Bible-less people and to grow in my personal faith. As I experience my journey I will add photos with text to the blog. God is amazing. He brought me to this place and provided abundantly. I am in the kitchen of a missionary family. The guy on the left, Dan is a Norwegian orginally from North Dakota. He and his wife are long term missionaries and have carried on the Norwegian tradition of making lefse. And, that is tradition that our family has also maintained in the US. Note the pastry cloth on the left.

I retired from Rockford Public Library after 32 years of service early in 2005. I have always loved sports and played college basketball briefly for one year. From early in my high school years I decided I wanted to teach. I love to learn and have an insatiable curiosity about many topics. I love to be challenged and to challenge others. I taught for 2 years and then went on to get a Master's degree in library science. Now I am combining my education,experience and my discipleship in my new position as Head Librarian at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand and as a Wycliffe Missionary.
