August 2005 I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to serve as the head librarian at Grace International School. I am supported by friends and family through Wycliffe International. My goal is to expand my church family's world view; to share God's Word with Bible-less people and to grow in my personal faith. As I experience my journey I will add photos with text to the blog. Our hotel in Hue was nestled within a very small shopping area. I love this picture for its color and sense of place. The French influence is seen in the buildings with lots of yellow paint on the buildings. The cycles are used to take tourists around the narrow streets. Cars are not present! People either walk or ride bicycles.

I retired from Rockford Public Library after 32 years of service early in 2005. I have always loved sports and played college basketball briefly for one year. From early in my high school years I decided I wanted to teach. I love to learn and have an insatiable curiosity about many topics. I love to be challenged and to challenge others. I taught for 2 years and then went on to get a Master's degree in library science. Now I am combining my education,experience and my discipleship in my new position as Head Librarian at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand and as a Wycliffe Missionary.
