August 2005 I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to serve as the head librarian at Grace International School. I am supported by friends and family through Wycliffe International. My goal is to expand my church family's world view; to share God's Word with Bible-less people and to grow in my personal faith. As I experience my journey I will add photos with text to the blog. Chris joined me in my return trip to Chiang Mai. On the way, we stopped in California to see Uncle Chris who turned 94 in May. I could not resist sharing this picture with all of you - of two of my most favorite people in my life. Can you not see the love for each other in this picture and of course the nobleness of age. I continue to give thanks to God for Uncle Chris as a strong influence in my son's life!

I retired from Rockford Public Library after 32 years of service early in 2005. I have always loved sports and played college basketball briefly for one year. From early in my high school years I decided I wanted to teach. I love to learn and have an insatiable curiosity about many topics. I love to be challenged and to challenge others. I taught for 2 years and then went on to get a Master's degree in library science. Now I am combining my education,experience and my discipleship in my new position as Head Librarian at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand and as a Wycliffe Missionary.
