August 2005 I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to serve as the head librarian at Grace International School. I am supported by friends and family through Wycliffe International. My goal is to expand my church family's world view; to share God's Word with Bible-less people and to grow in my personal faith. As I experience my journey I will add photos with text to the blog. Teachers and staff from Grace. Forefront is Jeanette, our admin secretary. To the left is Elaine, math teacher; and to the right is Nicole, 6th grade teacher. Jeanette is from Alaska. Elaine is from Scotland and Nicole was born in Wisconsin and now claims Ohio as her homebase. Thought I should mention that this picture is taken in February. Pleasant weather - 70 degrees, clear skies! Great movie night!

I retired from Rockford Public Library after 32 years of service early in 2005. I have always loved sports and played college basketball briefly for one year. From early in my high school years I decided I wanted to teach. I love to learn and have an insatiable curiosity about many topics. I love to be challenged and to challenge others. I taught for 2 years and then went on to get a Master's degree in library science. Now I am combining my education,experience and my discipleship in my new position as Head Librarian at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand and as a Wycliffe Missionary.
